Day Center
Heart & Hand seeks to provide support and care for people who are experiencing homelessness. At the heart of this effort is the Day Center. In the Heart & Hand Day Center clients will find a hot meal and safety from the elements. Clients can take a warm shower and access laundry services as well as have access to a variety of other services. Clients have access to hygiene products, seasonal support items, and clothing items and accessories.
Case Management
Case management is at the heart of our work with unhoused people. Everyone that uses the Day Center on a regular basis meet with one of our case managers on a monthly basis to work on their roadmap toward success in their housing, employment, and healthcare needs. We utilize an individualized, strength-based, trauma-informed approach toward case management care.
Coordinated Entry Access Point for Housing
Heart & Hand serves as an access point for Coordinated Entry services. We urge every client to complete the Coordinated Entry intake process with a case manager so they can be put on the official state Housing Prioritization list to receive housing and other services.
Winter Warming Center
During the cold weather months, Heart & Hand partners with the City of Belton to provide a warm place to stay over night when temperatures drop below 15 degrees or severe snow. Unhoused clients can spend the night.
