Heart & Hand operates two Christmas programs for the benefit and blessing of the community we serve. We have a Toy Store Program for parents in any of our programs that allows parents to come to our pop-up Toy Store and pick out a set amount of toys for each of their children (ages 0–18). We also have our Senior Gift Basket Program that provides customized Gift Baskets for our senior clients (over 65) or parents of clients. We match these seniors with volunteer supporters who "adopt" a senior citizen and put together a gift basket to bless them based on an interest sheet the senior fills out.

Toy Store for Children
Our Christmas toy store is for children of clients in any of our programs. We provide a wide range of Christmas presents for children ages 0–17. Items include toys, games, books, sports & outdoor equipment and all kinds of great gift items. Parents register for this program at the Food Pantry, by calling the office during 10am-2pm, or emailing [email protected] . Once registered parents pick a slot to come shop and pick up a set amount of items for each child. This year the pop-up toy store is open Fri. Dec. 19th 1:00 p.m. -5:00 p.m. and Sat. Senior Gift Baskets
At Heart & Hand, we organized a smaller effort to speak to the needs of our senior clients at our Program Center and food pantry. We accepted in-person Senior Gift Baskets registrations through November 25th. Once we had those registrations, we reached out to community members who had expressed a desire to adopt a senior, as well as several past volunteers for our Thanksgiving effort. We were able to match all our seniors and the gift baskets are going to be dropped off on or before Monday, December 15th, and picked up by our seniors December 16th-19th.
Our Senior Gift Basket program beautifully reflects Heart & Hand Ministries’ mission to walk alongside those facing the adversity of poverty with compassion and hope. Many of our senior clients struggle with limited resources and loneliness, especially during the holidays. By providing personalized Christmas gifts and a reminder that they are seen and cherished, we help meet practical needs while also nurturing dignity, connection, and joy - important steps toward a truly flourishing life.
