CHRISTMAS ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

For the several years, Heart-n-Hand Ministries has sponsored a Christmas Assistance Program for the Cass County community, called Gifts From the Heart. Those who may have otherwise not been able to afford toys their families, are now able to do so with this program.

For most Americans, the Christmas season is full of joy and gift giving. Unfortunately, there are many families in our community who are struggling due to the economy. It is incredibly stressful for parents who must choose to pay the bills or to buy Christmas gifts.  For some, it’s not even an option.

The new toys help parents keep their families at peace during the holidays.  This serves our main goal: Committing to the empowerment of poor and homeless individuals in the Cass County, Mo. community. We strive to meet the needs of the whole person — Spiritual, Physical, and Emotional, so that they may become independent and self-sufficient.

The success of this Project is only realized by the generosity of the Cass County community volunteers. Volunteers who donate toys, organize the toys, screen applicants, and minister to clients. We receive no government support in our administration, and we are not a United Way agency. We depend completely on donations from individuals, groups, businesses, foundations churches and grants.

If you would like to volunteer or donate to this specific outreach, please contact us at (816) 322-1133.
